The Knowledge Center, developed for the province of Limburg, is a true example of an integrated communication platform with a targeted audience.
The purpose of the project is defined as follows:
a quick and user friendly interface used for collecting data on a monthly base.
monthly results in a report generating a surplus for the economy in the tourism department
Several goals could be determined especially promoting the use of static data in return of marketing campagnes specially for contributors of the system.
On the other hand the project can be defined as en extranet for owners and managers of hotels, restaurants and other establishments active in tourism; which results in a virtual office center with messaging and news features.
The knowledge acquired, in such a way that it results in an open data structuur, is returned to the contributors and translated in new communication platforms such as the website of Tourism Limburg itself. Many side projects are currently in development.
